The holidays are quickly approaching and it's time to review your holiday visitation schedule!

NOTE: There may be modified versions of the Texas Standard Possession Order, which would make visitation different for your family. If you have questions about your specific order, be sure to contact an attorney to help!

THANKSGIVING VISITATION

For a Texas Standard Possession Order without modifications in odd numbered years like 2019, the visiting parent has the Thanksgiving holiday. The holiday begins at 6:00 p.m. on the day school is dismissed before the holiday and ends at 6:00 p.m. on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Based on the Texas Standard Possession schedule, if your school district is off from November 25th - 29th, the visiting parent will have visitation beginning on Friday, November 22 through Sunday, December 1

Remember, the visiting parent will also have the 1st weekend in December, which is December 6th - December 8th!

CHRISTMAS VISITATION

For a Texas Standard Possession Order without modifications in odd numbered years like 2019, the visiting parent has visitation in December as follows:

  • December 6th - December 8th

  • December 28th at noon until 6:00 p.m. on the day before school resumes after the break.
