TRLA Hosts Reception with Third Court of Appeals and Austin Appellate Bar
TRLA hosted a reception for all the justices of the Third Court of Appeals. Chief Justice Jeff L. Rose talked about the work of the Court and about the veteran and new members in their second month working together. He was followed by Justice Melissa Goodwin, Justice Chari L. Kelly, Justice Edward Smith, Justice Gisela D. Triana, and Justice Thomas J. Baker. TRLA Executive Director Robert Doggett spoke briefly about TRLA’s work and its partnership with private attorneys on appeals. More than 70 private attorneys, elected officials, and TRLA staff attorneys attended the event, including Texas State Bar President Joe Longley and Texas Access to Justice Foundation Executive Director Betty Balli Torres.
