A psychiatric advance directive (PAD) is a self-determination based rights document in which people with serious mental illness state their preferences and make other advance decisions about their treatment in psychiatric hospitals. TRLA is partnering with St. Mary’s School of Law to host a PAD clinic at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital. Clinic clients will have the opportunity to execute VA Advance Directives, PADs, and Medical Powers of Attorney.
